Though it is not my profession, I, like others on the CTLE team, have had a life-long interest in teaching and learning. While a planned career as a music educator was not to be, I have been fortunate to have been placed in positions where my interest in education was constantly fed.
Before arriving at Embry-Riddle, I spent 18 years at Carnegie Mellon University, where I was graduate admissions coordinator for M.S. and Ph.D. programs in Robotics and in Human-Computer Interaction. My experiences at CMU, supporting visionaries and innovators in future technologies, served as a great inspiration to never settle for less and to always dream of what was possible. When I moved from Pittsburgh to South Carolina, I spent seven years at the Greenville Technical College Dental Hygiene Program, where I had the privilege of educating students and faculty in the administrative aspects of clinical work while working on my associate’s degree in Business Management. One year ago, I was finally able to achieve my dream of earning my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Western Governors University.
I feel honored to be a part of Embry-Riddle and the CTLE team, from whom I have the opportunity to continue learning every day.
