I would describe myself as a lifelong learner and have a passion in helping others. My educational interests and experiences are diverse which include pedagogical practices especially in STEM education, student-centered learning, biology, secondary education, as well as diversity and cultural enhancement, and international student populations on college campuses.
I arrived at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in July 2014 from Western Kentucky University where I completed my EdD in Educational Leadership emphasizing in Postsecondary Education and also served as a full-time faculty member for six years teaching various biology courses and integrating active learning strategies in the classroom. My interests also include increasing student success through learning, engagement and retention efforts and enhancing teaching practices. I look forward to supporting faculty at ERAU.
